In Business Informatics you are dealing with information processing in business and society and are thus at the interface of people, organization and information technology. As a graduate, you can analyze and optimize business processes in a variety of industries, develop application-oriented systems or act as a mediator between IT and business.
What are the contents of the program?
The subject of the teaching is information and communication systems in economy and society, in particular the analysis, the modeling, the design, the implementation and the evaluation of such systems. In addition to the primarily IT-oriented approach, the success of such systems requires the consideration of technical, economic and social aspects. At the same time, computer science and economics are combined in theory and practice.
Which qualifications do I acquire?
You learn techniques and methods that serve as the basis for state-of-the-art knowledge management and data analytics. The program gives you advanced knowledge and a critical understanding of the theories and principles of those areas of computer science and economics that are relevant for business informatics. The focus is on providing knowledge about formal, constructive and analytical methods as well as the central concepts of computer science.
