Research Centers
We're driving progress with our multifaceted research initiatives, transcending boundaries through inter-faculty and inter-university collaboration.
AI & Machine Learning (CAIML)
The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML) strives to consolidate and enhance research endeavors in both Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Encompassing both fundamental principles as well as real-world implementations, its goal is to position TU Wien as a beacon of excellence in the field. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, it propels breakthroughs at the crossroads of AI and ML.
Cybersecurity (CYSEC)
The overarching goal of the TU Wien Cybersecurity Center is to consolidate, strengthen, and expand the diverse interfaculty expertise and initiatives already in place, establishing TU Wien as an internationally recognized and leading center of excellence for cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful societal outreach in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.
Geometry & Computational Design (GCD)
The Center for Geometry and Computational Design (CGD) bridges technology and design. With expertise spanning geometry, visual computing, and architectural informatics, its researchers conduct pioneering research at the crossroads of mathematics, informatics, and design. Their mission extends to cultivating a new generation of adept minds, blending technical and artistic expertise to shape tomorrow’s innovations.
Logic & Algorithms (VCLA)
The Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms (VCLA) is promoting international scientific collaboration in logic and algorithms. Its outreach activities are aimed towards raising aspirations of young people for academic pursuits and to raise awareness on the impact of the research done in the areas of logic, philosophy, mathematics, computer science, and artificial intelligence among the general public.
