The Bachelor program Media Informatics and Visual Computing teaches you key technologies and technical processes in the areas of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Visualization and Augmented/Mixed/Virtual Reality.
What are the contents of the program?
During your studies you will learn the mathematical and formal basics of computer science. In order to be able to address the special challenges of Media Informatics, you will receive an interdisciplinary basic training, in which you acquire knowledge and skills in the creative and user-centered design of the media and their production processes.

The Bachelor degree program in Media Informatics and Visual Computing offers you in-depth, scientifically and methodically high-quality education geared to lasting knowledge. In addition, you will receive in-depth training in computer vision, computer graphics, visualization, augmented / mixed / virtual reality, interaction design / user experience, computer and sensor system design, design-oriented thinking and design practice, as well as social and cultural aspects of digital interaction technology.
During studying, you develop important cognitive, practical and personal skills that enable you to think agile and interdisciplinarily, work goal-oriented and methodically, and document and present precisely. You learn to use foundations and methods for modeling, solution finding and evaluation, can validate systems empirically and experimentally and develop and implement design concepts. The application of qualitative and quantitative methods of social science and the use of participative procedures round off your professional qualification profile as a graduate.
In the course of your studies, you will also learn methods and strategies for strengthening your self-organization and self-responsibility as well as your individual creativity and innovation potential. Your curiosity and teamwork will be encouraged as well as your active and passive critical ability.
