Since 2013, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has been awarding the Ars Docendi State Prize for Excellent Teaching to honor outstanding teachers at Austrian public or private Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences, and Colleges of Education. The Ars Docendi State Prize for Excellent Teaching is awarded in five categories and is endowed with 7,000 Euros.

If you’re actively engaged in university teaching, you can submit your project for the Ars Docendi award by March 12, 2025, through the gutelehre portal. Nominations and proposals will be evaluated by a distinguished jury of international experts and students. Selected projects will be featured in the Atlas of Good Teaching.
