Soodeh Farokhi Is Women Entrepreneur Award Finalist

Dr. Soodeh Farokhi, founder and chief technology officer of C2RO, a Canadian AI enterprise SaaS company, offering privacy-aware AI video analytics software solutions, has been named a finalist for the 2020 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur for the Innovation Award.

Soodeh successfully defended her PhD thesis on “Quality of Service Control Mechanisms in Cloud Computing Environments” in 2016, and was supervised by Ivona Brandic. She was part of the Doctoral College Adaptive Distributed Systems.

Leading Female Entrepreneur

Soodeh Farokhi now works as a visionary technology entrepreneur and strategic executive in the enterprise software space. She is the founder and chief technology officer of C2RO, a VC-baked enterprise SaaS company in Canada, offering Privacy-aware AI Video Analytics software solutions leveraging existing surveillance cameras.

The nomination for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, one of the finest national business awards recognizing the leading female entrepreneurs across Canada, is among her recent achievements. Women who make impressive and substantial contributions to technology advancement and the economy of Canada will be awarded, and the Innovation Award is dedicated to an entrepreneur who has recognized a new market, product, service, technological advancement and demonstrated outstanding leadership within her company and market while setting standards for originality, quality, and successful management. The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 28th Annual Awards Gala in November.

From a pool of over 8,600 nominees, 23 finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent 7 Award Categories. Dr. Soodeh Farokhi is one of 3 Regional Finalists recognized in the category Innovation Award, representing the East. Her company C2RO is an AI enterprise software company based in Montreal, recognized as the 2020s most pioneering AI video analytics solution by Corporate Vision. It offers privacy-aware AI video analytics for physical spaces using proprietary edge-cloud AI and computer vision technologies. C2RO’s product, Perceive, is enabling data-driven decision making, optimization of operations, and transformation of physical facilities into safe, engaging, and immersive environments for visitors.
