Cooperation Opportunities
We want to introduce our Bachelor with Honors students to the international scientific community and industry. To achieve this, we are constantly expanding our network of partners. Get in touch with us!
Academic Internships
Requirements
We consider universities that rank better than TU Wien Informatics in the relevant surveys THE, Shanghai or QS as well as distinguished research institutes as desirable partners in our academic internship program. Such institutions should provide a general overview of possible projects for interested students, ideally via a dedicated website. There should also exist a specific contact person for students’ inquiries. Every internship project must be supervised by a competent sponsor who ensures a proper working environment.
Internship Projects’ Characteristics
Be it research institutions or universities, internship projects shall engage interns with research-related work and comprise 150 hours total working time (equivalent to 6 ECTS). Projects need to be properly defined and documented throughout the duration of the internship and include a concise preliminary description (authored by the supervisor or the student). At the project’s end, the student has to hand in a written project report. In a short assessment the supervisor evaluates and grades the student’s performance.

Scholarship Program
Attract Outstanding Talent…
Excellent students are highly sought after, and universities and companies alike are in competition to attract talent. Scholarships are a very important incentive to attract these talented individuals. Therefore, funding and reputation are key. A sponsor should be well-known and have a visible strive for excellence and research orientation in relation to informatics.
…Through Our Scholarship Program
We offer such sponsors annual and bi-annual Bachelor with Honors scholarships for €3.000 to €5.000 per annum. The funding ensures the financial support of students while putting only light-weight additional responsibilities on the student (e.g., ambassador role for his or her sponsor). To receive funding through our program, students must undergo a competition-based selection process: They need to apply and to demonstrate their motivation, grades and curriculum vitæ. Together with the Bachelor of Honors program’s college, the sponsor selects the ideal candidate(s) based on performance and motivation.
