The field of visualization aims at transforming complex data into easily understandable images. These data can range from computer tomography scans over aerodynamic simulations to social network graphs. EuroVis is the premier scientific venue in Europe for the dissemination of the latest results in this research area. Publications on cutting-edge techniques and systems, as well as applications, theory, and evaluations will be presented by international researchers. Together with the EurVA Workshop the annual visualization gathering aims to foster greater exchange between visualization researchers and practitioners, and to draw more researchers in Europe to enter this rapidly growing area of research.
EuroVA Workshop June 4-5, 2012
The goal of the workshop is to promote and advance the combination and integration of visualization and analytics methods for the purpose of problem solving in a variety of application domains including engineering, business, public policy, medicine, security, etc.

14th EuroVis 2012 Conference on Visualization June 5-8, 2012
The conference will feature two highly-renowned invited speakers, Oliver Bimber (Johannes Kepler University, Linz) and Torsten Möller (Simon Fraser University, Canada), who will share their insights. For the first time this year, EuroVis also features a short paper track which aims to foster the presentation of late-breaking results, work in progress, and follow-up extensions or evaluations of existing methods. Additionally, the program includes two social events and a best paper ceremony.
