The AI Festival is co-organized by TU Wien Informatics, CAIML, BilAI (funded by WWTF), and TU Austria.

Join us from December 1-3 at TU Wien Informatics for the AI Festival 2025—a three-day celebration of ideas, discovery, and dialogue on the present and future of Artificial Intelligence. The festival will bring together leading international researchers, industry experts, and the general public to explore how AI is transforming science, technology, and society. Through talks, panels, and exhibitions, the event offers a unique space for sharing insights, sparking collaboration, and engaging with the questions that will shape our collective future.

The AI Festival is co-organized by TU Wien, the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML), the Cluster of Excellence Bilateral AI (BilAI), which is funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), and the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF), as well as TU Austria.

Registration

Please note that only the third day of the AI Festival is open to the general public and does not require registration. The first and second day are reserved for researchers and industry professionals, and registration is required to attend. Participation in the festival is free of charge.

Program

Day 1: Research

The first day of the festival will spotlight the latest breakthroughs in AI research. Renowned international and local researchers will share their work and insights through keynote talks and panel discussions on emerging trends. Topics will include neurosymbolic AI, large language models, AI in science, explainable AI, and automated problem solving and decision making. It will be a day of deep exploration into the cutting edge of what AI can do—and where it’s going next.

Day 2: Industry and Business

The second day will turn the spotlight on industry and business. Companies working at the forefront of AI—including innovative university spin-offs—will present real-world applications and technological advances. Researchers from TU Wien and BilAI will also showcase their latest work. A CEO panel will discuss how AI is reshaping key sectors such as mobility, energy, and production. The day will also feature technology demos, poster sessions, and opportunities for networking between companies, students, and researchers—fostering new connections and collaborations at the intersection of research and industry.

Day 3: Open to the Public

The final day is dedicated to the general public and anyone curious about AI. The program will begin with talks designed for a broad audience, explaining how machines learn and reason in simple, accessible terms. Throughout the day, panel discussions will explore the societal impact of AI, touching on ethics, digital humanism, and the role of AI in daily life. Visitors can explore interactive demos, experience AI in music and creativity, and discover how TU Wien and other Austrian universities are making AI more transparent, inclusive, and human-centered.
