After the success of previous years, we’re excited to announce that the International Ethical Hacking Bootcamp is entering its third round! The Bootcamp is a warm-up for the European Cybersecurity Challenge—and a great chance to size up the competition while forging new connections. This year, it also doubles as the training ground for Team Europe as they gear up for the International Cybersecurity Challenge 2025, taking place in Japan this November.

The event is organized by the TU Wien Cyber Security Center, and Cyber Security Austria, and will host the national teams from Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. The bootcamp blends hands-on training sessions with social activities—bringing together learning, collaboration, and community in equal measure. On day two, it’s game on: a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition featuring challenges from the finals of the Austria Cyber Security Challenge—a perfect chance for participants to put their skills to the test in a fast-paced, real-world setting. One of the highlights of the program: Philipp Beer will give us a sneak peek of the latest mobile security research—set to be presented at USENIX Security 2025 this August.

We’re delighted to welcome an outstanding lineup of international trainers, who will challenge our ethical hackers with hands-on sessions designed to push their skills and prepare them for the next level. One of the highlights of the program: Philipp Beer will give us a sneak peek of the latest mobile security research—set to be presented at USENIX Security 2025 this August.

About ECSC

The European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) is the biggest cybersecurity competition in Europe. The initiative is supported by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Commission, and aims to develop cybersecurity talent across Europe and connect (rising) experts with industry-leading organizations. Across Europe, countries hold national cybersecurity competitions to identify their most talented young professionals, and the winning teams come together to represent their nations at the ECSC, which is hosted by a different country each year. openECSC offers excellent opportunities to train for the national and European cybersecurity challenges – regardless of age, nationality, professional or educational background.
