Abstract

Through the study of biological processes optimized by evolution, we seek to enhance the effectiveness, resilience, agency, and energy efficiency of future computation. Understanding the brain, nervous system, and their interaction with the environment is crucial for the development of artificial intelligence and computational cognition. This learning process is bidirectional, resulting in a deeper understanding of both nature and possible future technology.
