Visual Computing Trends started in 2009 and is a biennial, one-day symposium where four renowned international speakers provide insights and perspectives into the latest visual computing and computer graphics research. In the past years, we welcomed about 200 to 300 guests from more than 15 countries. The Visual Computing Trends Symposium has become a fixture of the visual computing community. The event has also established itself as a forum for lively international exchange between a wide variety of stakeholders from research, industry and the public.

After a break due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to welcoming Marie-Paule Cani (Ecole Polytechnique), Eduard Gröller (TU Wien Informatics), Ming C. Lin (University of Maryland) and Anders Ynnerman (Linköping University), who will demonstrate the future potential of visual computing research, from artificial intelligence to metaverse and the future of visual analytics. In a subsequent panel discussion moderated by Katja Bühler (VRVis), all speakers will discuss the latest advances and developments in the field of visual computing.
