It uses 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons. The overall list is accompanied by 11 subject-specific rankings. The subject rankings employ a methodology carefully recalibrated for each subject, with the weightings changed to suit the individual fields. The weightings for the computer science ranking are: Teaching 30%, Research 30%, Citations 27.5%, International outlook 7.5%, Industry income 5%.
