About QS Ranking

The annual Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking is one of the most renowned international higher education rankings. The QS World University Ranking by Subject assesses the world’s top universities in 51 individual subject areas. Each subject ranking is compiled using four sources: The first two are QS’s global surveys of academics and employers, which assess institutions’ international reputations. The second two indicators assess research impact based on research citations per paper and h-index. The h-index is a way of measuring the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. It is based on a set of the academic’s most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications.
