We host the ER2020, the leading international forum for presenting and discussing current research and practice on conceptual modeling.

39th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling

  • This is an online-only event.
    See description for details.

The topics of interest span the entire spectrum of conceptual modeling including areas such as theories of concepts underlying conceptual modeling, methods and tools for developing and communicating conceptual models, techniques for transforming conceptual models into effective implementations, and the impact of conceptual modeling techniques on databases, business strategies and information systems development in general.

ER2020 is running in virtual mode using Zoom. We are using a very compact format in order to enable all time zones to be able to participate live. Consequently, presentations will be shorter than usual but we hope thereby to have a more focused discussion. Each day of the conference will start with a keynote that is directly followed by the next session.

Keynotes

As keynote speakers we could win renowned researchers: Eric Yu (University of Toronto), Matthias Jarke (Brigham Young University), Christiane Floyd (University of Hamburg/TU Wien), and Thomas Ludwig (German Climate Computing Center).

Participation and Registration

We offer free registration for all interested persons to participate in the virtual ER 2020 conference.
