LogicLounge with Toby Walsh: Living with AI – How to stay Human

Public debate talk organized by Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms at TU Wien, and moderated by Franz Zeller (ORF).

On September 20th, 2018, one of the leading researchers in Artificial Intelligence, professor Toby Walsh, will in one-hour long public debate talk about how AI has been improving our lives, and why the society needs to be economically, culturally, politically and legally prepared for the AI of tomorrow.

Toby Walsh has been called a “rock star of AI”, due to his regular appearances in the international media. He is talking and asking questions about the impact of AI and robotics on our lives. Professor Walsh is not only known as the initiator of the worldwide movement for the UN-ban of autonomous lethal weapons (,,Killer Robots”), but is also an author of numerous books presenting the general public the myths, the chances and the risks in the field of AI techniques and technology.

Free Registration with a book give-away

The public discussion is free of charge. Among the registered participants, Toby Walsh will give away couple signed copies of his book ,,It´s Alive!: Artificial Intelligence from the Logic Piano to Killer Robots”. The book, which was published in 2017, has been translated to German language, and will be in sale in Austria, from September 24th onwards.
