Over the years, we have grown a large international network of partners in research and teaching. We’re also active members of national and international informatics associations.
The organisation represents the academic and research community in Informatics in Europe. Bringing together university departments and research laboratories, it creates a strong common voice to safeguard and shape quality research and education in Informatics in Europe. With around 140 member institutions across 31 countries, Informatics Europe promotes common positions and acts on common priorities.
The Austrian Computer Society (OCG) is a non-profit association for the promotion of information technology considering its effects on people and society. It was founded in 1975 with the participation of Heinz Zemanek, and has members from the fields of science, IT application, teaching and training as well as IT companies, and a large number of individuals. Its main purpose is to promote and bundle knowledge and experience in the field of information and communication technology.
The association "Informatik Austria - Computer Science at Austrian Universities" is the sponsoring organization of the platform Informatik Austria. It is a networking and coordination platform for informatics departments at Austrian Universities, and promotes science, research and teaching. Ordinary members are seven Austrian universities and research institutions with doctoral rights.
