Mathieu Aubry is a guest speaker in the Seminar of the Visual Heritage PhD School. The project Visual Analytics and Computer Vision Meet Cultural Heritage brings together computer science and the humanities, developing methods for automatic image analysis and visualization that combine efficient data analysis with expert knowledge and make cultural heritage accessible to a wider audience.

About Mathieu Aubry
Mathieu Aubry is a tenured researcher in Computer Vision at École des Ponts ParisTech in the LIGM lab. He obtained his PhD at ENS in 2015, co-advised by Josef Sivic (INRIA) and Daniel Cremers (TUM). In 2015, he spent a year working as a postdoc with Alexei Efros in UC Berkeley. He had a leading role in the ANR EnHerit, VHS, EIDA and HAIKIDO projects on Computer Vision for historical applications, and the ERC DISCOVER project on interpretable visual structures discovery.
