We’re delighted to announce that Drishti Yadav was recognized as a runner-up for the Best Dissertation Award of Informatics Europe for her thesis Enhancing Fault Diagnosis in Safety-Critical Cyber-Physical Systems!

The Informatics Europe Best Dissertation Award (BDA) celebrates outstanding PhD research in Informatics conducted at European institutions. Each year, the Award Committee evaluates submissions based on the innovation of research and methodology, impact and quality of results, societal relevance, and clarity of exposition. The official Award Ceremony took place during the European Informatics Leaders Summit (ECSS 2025) in Rennes, France, where both winners and notable runners-up were invited to participate.

Drishti’s recognition as a runner-up for this prestigious award highlights the excellence of her research and underscores our continued commitment to fostering innovative and impactful work in computer science.

About Drishti

Drishti Yadav received her B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai, India, in 2017, and her M.Tech degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India, in 2020. She completed her PhD in Computer Science at TU Wien in November 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Ezio Bartocci. During her doctoral studies, she served as a University Assistant in the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) research group at the Faculty of Informatics at TU Wien.

Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. Her research primarily revolves around fault-based testing and verification of safety-critical CPS. She is also interested in control systems engineering and optimization in general, with a soft spot for metaheuristics.
