S+T+ARTS AQUA MOTION invites artists from all disciplines to apply for a unique interdisciplinary residency program focused on the future of water in Europe. At a time when water scarcity, pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss are reshaping societies and ecosystems, AQUA MOTION supports artistic experimentation that engages with these challenges through collaboration with scientists, technologists, local communities, and water experts.

The residency is tied to our Research Unit Artifact-based Computing and User Research at the Institute of Visual Computing and Human-Centered Technology. The Research Unit will be hosting three artists on-site, supporting them in the development of their artistic projects. Each artist will be invited to TU Wien for at least two weeks during their residency.
